“Burnout is insidious; it coaxes us into believing the external environment is the sole source of our discomfort. Yet, burnout is a symptom prompting us to seek greater understanding in who we are and what we need.”
– Katelyn McClelland, LCSW
I’m Katelyn, founder of Matters Counseling and Consulting, and I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of self.
My work is rooted in both clinical practice and real-world leadership experience. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, burnout, and relational challenges, while also working alongside leaders and professionals navigating high levels of responsibility and stress. This dual perspective allows me to meet people where they are—whether they’re seeking relief, growth, or a renewed sense of direction.
As a licensed clinician, I take an evidence-based, relational approach that prioritizes understanding your unique story, patterns, and goals. Together, we work to make sense of what you’re experiencing, build practical strategies for change, and create space for lasting growth. For those seeking coaching or professional support, I also integrate insight-oriented and performance-based strategies to help you move forward with intention and confidence.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel seen, supported, and equipped. Whether you’re working through something difficult or simply want to feel more grounded and aligned in your life, this is a space where that work can take shape.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, getting lost in a good book like The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, or unwinding with a great movie.
